Bulgari Redefines Hospitality Luxury: Imminent Launch of Extravagant Rome Hotel with 300m² Palatial Suite and Awe-Inspiring Views
The highly-anticipated Bulgari hotel in Italy has officially marked its opening date. Following the recent unveiling of a sophisticated hotel complex in Japan, the prestigious Italian brand now shifts its focus to a place of profound significance—Rome, its birthplace. On June 9th, the luxury titan will unveil its ninth hotel, strategically positioned at 10 Piazza Augusto Imperatore in the vibrant Campo Marzio district.
This venture into Italy, and specifically Rome, marks a departure from Bulgari previous global expansion strategy, signifying a return to its origins. The hotel finds its residence in a historic building envisioned by architect Vittorio Ballio Morpurgo and erected in the 1940s. Housing 114 rooms and suites, the structure is adorned with colors and inspirations drawn from the Eternal City. Bulgari pays homage to Rome’s rich heritage, intricately weaving references to the reign of Emperor Augustus throughout the establishment.
A design narrative that masterfully melds echoes of the past with contemporary elegance Continuing their legacy, the Milanese architectural firm Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel leads the design of the hotel, skillfully intertwining historical elements with a modern aesthetic. The Roman heritage permeates both the exterior and interior designs of the building. The 114 rooms are thoughtfully adorned in one of four colors: white, yellow, red, and green. Every decorative element is meticulously considered, from the use of materials such as marble to Bulgari-patterned tapestries. The Bulgari Suite, a pinnacle of opulence within the hotel, sprawls across 300 square meters, providing one of the most enchanting views of the city. Furnished with pieces from Flexform and Maxalto and featuring bespoke tapestries from the esteemed manufacturer Rubelli, the suite epitomizes the zenith of ultra-luxury.
Beyond the sumptuous suites and rooms, the hotel boasts cutting-edge amenities and facilities, promising guests a comprehensive wellness experience. The 1500-square-meter Bulgari Spa encompasses a 25-meter indoor pool and nine rooms offering exclusive and innovative body and mind treatments. A dedicated fitness area, featuring a training method exclusively designed for Bulgari, is also at guests’ disposal. Completing the holistic experience, the hotel features a variety of restaurants such as Il Ristorante-Niko and Romito, or La Terrazza, catering to a spectrum of culinary preferences.
Bulgari Hotels & Resorts is poised for further expansion, with plans for the opening of three additional hotel complexes in the near future, set to grace Miami, Los Angeles, and the Maldives.
