Finance Minister Meets Moroccan Counterpart
Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Bahrain’s Minister of Finance and National Economy, held a meeting today, accompanied by Rasheed Mohammed Al Maraj and Khalid bin Salman bin Jabr Al Musallam, Bahrain’s Ambassador to Morocco. They were joined by Nadia Fettah Alaoui, the Moroccan Minister of Economy and Finance. This meeting took place on the sidelines of Shaikh Salman’s participation in the 2023 Annual Meetings of the World Bank Group (WBG) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF), currently being held in Marrakech.
During the meeting, Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa extended greetings and appreciation on behalf of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. These warm sentiments were conveyed to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, with well-wishes for Morocco’s continued progress and prosperity under his leadership.
Minister Shaikh Salman expressed deep gratitude to Morocco for hosting the annual meetings of the WBG and IMF, emphasizing the strong and brotherly relations between Bahrain and Morocco.
The two ministers engaged in discussions about ways to enhance bilateral financial and economic cooperation between the two kingdoms, with the aim of realizing their shared aspirations. They also reviewed the outcomes of the 2023 annual meetings of the WBG and IMF, and delved into the latest developments in the global economy.
