Abdullah bin Zayed Witnesses Launch of Global Biofuel Alliance at G20
New Delhi, September 9 / His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs, witnessed the launch of the Global Biofuel Alliance during the “G20” summit in New Delhi. The summit, themed “One Earth, One Family, One Future,” commenced its proceedings today.
This alliance, led by the Republic of India and comprising the United Arab Emirates and several other nations, aims to develop and promote sustainable biofuel usage. It is designed to expedite global efforts towards achieving net-zero emissions by facilitating the trade of biofuels derived from natural sources.
His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan praised the launch of the Global Biofuel Alliance, emphasizing that this pioneering global initiative serves as a supportive platform for worldwide efforts to enhance the transformation in the energy sector and combat climate change.
He also extended his gratitude to the friendly Republic of India for its significant efforts during its G20 presidency.
His Highness reiterated that the support of the friendly Republic of India’s presidency of the G20 has always been a top priority for the United Arab Emirates. He affirmed that the UAE and the Republic of India share deep historical ties and a strong strategic partnership that has yielded numerous developmental achievements in various fields for both nations.
