Auditor General Meets with Brazilian Federative Ambassador
Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, the Auditor General of the National Audit Office (NAO), recently welcomed Adriano Silva Pucci, the Ambassador of the Brazilian Federative, for a meeting.
During the meeting, the discussions primarily revolved around the NAO’s ongoing activities and explored ways to bolster collaboration between the Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) of both countries, as well as their involvement with the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI).
The Auditor General highlighted the NAO’s participation in the 24th International Congress of INTOSAI (INCOSAI), an event held every three years, with the previous edition hosted by Brazil. This platform serves as a vital forum for addressing critical issues confronting the international public audit community.
Moreover, he made reference to the recent visit by Antonio Anastasia, a Minister at the Federal Court of Audit of the Brazilian Federative, to Bahrain. This visit was made in the context of participating in meetings related to the development of professional standards within the INTOSAI Forum of Professional Pronouncements (FIPP) and the joint seminar on the Strategic Development Plan (SDP), which took place earlier this year in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Ambassador Pucci expressed his gratitude for the strong bilateral relations between the two nations and emphasized his commitment to further enhancing cooperation in various areas.
