Bahrain Participation in ANECD Regional Forum
The Ministry of Education in Bahrain was an active participant in the inaugural regional forum titled “Early Childhood Care in a Turbulent World: Development Strategies in Arab Countries.”
Organized by the Arab Network for Early Childhood (ANECD), the event brought together over 60 members and representatives from national networks, relevant ministries, Arab and international organizations, as well as experts and researchers specializing in early childhood matters.
Fatheya Ali Aish, the Director of the Early Education Licensing and Follow-up Department at the Ministry of Education, represented Bahrain at the forum, which was hosted by the “Arab Council for Childhood and Development.”
The primary objective of the forum was to pinpoint strategic directions for supporting and advancing early childhood development in Arab countries through activities such as knowledge generation, networking, collaboration, and advocacy, all aimed at influencing policies.
Furthermore, the forum served as a platform for deliberating the current realities, challenges, and approaches for improving early childhood care initiatives. Additionally, it provided a spotlight on ANECD’s role, in conjunction with its partners, in backing research on Early Childhood and showcasing leading programs in this field within the Arab world.
