HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Attends the Opening of the 2023 World Combat Games in Riyadh
His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports First Deputy Chairman, General Sports Authority (GSA) Chairman, and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) President, arrived in Saudi Arabia today to participate in the opening ceremony of the 2023 World Combat Games.
Upon his arrival, HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad received a warm welcome from His Highness Prince Abdulla bin Fahad Al Saudi, a member of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee (SOPC), and Abdulaziz Baeshen, SOPC Secretary-General and CEO.
HH Shaikh Khalid attended the opening ceremony of the 2023 World Combat Games, which took place at the Saudi Sports Ministry’s Hall within the Prince Faisal bin Fahad Olympic Complex.
Dr. Abdulrahman Sadiq Askar, CEO of GSA, and Fares Mustafa Al Kooheji, BOC Secretary-General, were also in attendance.
HH Shaikh Khalid expressed his immense pleasure at being present at the opening ceremony of the 2023 World Combat Games, marking the first time these games have been hosted in the Arab region.
His Highness conveyed his deep confidence in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s capacity to host the tournament. He highlighted the nation’s advanced infrastructure, organizational expertise, and outstanding reputation, which have positioned it as a premier destination for major international sporting events.
