King Hamad Global Centre and Nazarbayev Centre Explore Collaborative Efforts
Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Board of Trustees at the King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence, engaged in a meeting with Sarsenbayev Bulat Sergazievich, Chairman of the N. Nazarbayev Centre for Development of Interfaith and Intercivilisation Dialogue, during the 21st Session of the Secretariat of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions.
Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed underlined the strong Bahraini-Kazakh relations and emphasized both countries’ commitment to promoting the values of tolerance and coexistence on a global scale. They aspire to facilitate dialogue and unity among various religions and cultures.
He stressed the significance of fostering productive collaboration between the King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence and the N. Nazarbayev Centre for Development of Interfaith and Intercivilization Dialogue. Such cooperation aligns with the objectives outlined in the Declaration of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions. It also aims to establish cognitive integration, encourage religious tolerance, and promote intellectual enlightenment to contribute to global peace, security, and overall prosperity.
The Chairman of the Board of Trustees at the King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence emphasized the need for joint efforts to raise awareness about unity, respect for cultural diversity, and the instillation of spiritual and moral values in young individuals. Furthermore, they discussed the importance of combating misconceptions and ideas, particularly addressing issues such as Islamophobia and taking necessary measures to combat intolerance, racism, and hatred.

The center epitomizes His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s vision of safeguarding religious freedoms and spreading the values of tolerance and moderation, ultimately working toward a more peaceful, secure, and prosperous world.
Sarsenbayev Bulat Sergazievich commended Bahrain’s pioneering initiatives in promoting dialogue and unity among religions and cultures. He regarded Bahrain as a leading global example of tolerance and human fraternity and expressed readiness to explore new avenues of collaboration between the King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence and the N. Nazarbayev Centre for Development of Interfaith and Intercivilization Dialogue.
Both parties discussed strategies to strengthen the partnership between the two institutions. This entails sharing expertise, launching innovative programs and projects, and embarking on endeavors to foster a culture of peace and coexistence, all contributing to common goals.
