Focused on sustainability, inclusivity, and unique consumer experiences, the MAPIC Academy finalists are bringing fresh, innovative perspectives to the retail sector.
The MAPIC Academy, taking place from 26-28 November 2024 in Cannes, has selected five standout brands from across Europe and beyond. These finalists have been chosen for their creative concepts, sustainability practices, and growth potential in international markets. The MAPIC Academy aims to provide these promising brands with the platform, mentorship, and resources necessary to help them establish a physical retail presence.

- Active Rock (Switzerland)
A Swiss brand that specializes in sustainable performance sports socks made from plant-based materials, catering to active individuals who prioritize both performance and eco-consciousness. - Ça va savon (Belgium)
Innovators behind the first water-free powder-to-liquid body gel, offering an eco-friendly solution to reduce water consumption in everyday personal care products. - Free Form Style (Spain)
Spain’s pioneering inclusive fashion brand, creating stylish clothing designed specifically for individuals with disabilities, promoting comfort, style, and accessibility. - Kodamer L’Épicerie Africaine (France)
An online retailer offering a curated selection of premium African culinary products, bringing authentic African flavors to the global market and celebrating the continent’s rich culinary heritage. - Skin Gourmet (Ghana)
A beauty brand that creates handcrafted skincare products using 100% natural, edible ingredients sourced directly from local Ghanaian farmers, focusing on sustainability and purity.

Through a collaboration with Nhood and Ingka, the MAPIC Academy offers a structured program that includes mentorship from industry experts, a dedicated exhibition space, and a €10,000 grant. The winning brand will also have the chance to open a pop-up store in one of Nhood and Ingka’s shopping centers, enabling them to accelerate their growth in the European market.
MAPIC 2024, held at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, is expected to welcome over 1,600 brand representatives and 700 exhibitors. The event will provide invaluable networking opportunities and offer deep insights into emerging retail trends and opportunities, solidifying its position as a major hub for the global retail industry.
