Saudi Crown Prince Unveils Ambitious Al Soudah Peaks Master Plan
Saudi Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman, who also serves as the Prime Minister and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Soudah Development Company, recently revealed the comprehensive master plan for “Soudah Peaks” (Qimam Al Soudah). This groundbreaking initiative is set to transform Al Soudah and parts of Rijal Almaa into a premier tourist destination, in line with the Public Investment Fund’s efforts to bolster key sectors and advance regional development strategies. At the heart of this endeavor is the creation of a luxurious tourist mountain that will grace the highest peak in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, soaring to an impressive 3,015 meters above sea level. This mountain will be set amidst a unique natural and cultural environment located in the Asir region of the Kingdom’s southwest.
Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman emphasized that Al Soudah Peaks is poised to redefine the concept of luxury mountain tourism, offering an unparalleled living experience. This ambitious project is not only a testament to the commitment to Saudi Vision 2030, aimed at fostering tourism and entertainment, but it also plays a pivotal role in supporting economic growth. It is estimated that the cumulative Gross Domestic Product (GDP) will witness a substantial increase, exceeding 29 billion riyals. Furthermore, the project is expected to create numerous job opportunities, both directly and indirectly, thereby contributing to the region’s economic vitality.
In his statement, the Saudi Crown Prince underscored the significance of the master plan in promoting environmental preservation and the safeguarding of natural and heritage resources for future generations. This approach is designed to diversify income sources while simultaneously cultivating an economy that attracts both international and domestic investments. The vision for Al Soudah Peaks extends beyond mere development; it aspires to create a sustainable and prosperous future, resonating with the broader aspirations of Saudi Arabia and its commitment to responsible and inclusive growth.
