Cannes, France, September 19, 2023 – Saxdor Yachts proudly announces the departure of the inaugural unit of its new Flagship 400 GTO, setting sail for the Mediterranean yachting hub of Cannes. This momentous journey marks the precursor to the world premiere of the Saxdor 400 GTO at the Cannes Yachting Festival, where the GTO variant will be prominently showcased from September 12th to the 17th, 2023. Unlike the forthcoming GTC model, which will be unveiled in the following months and boasts an enclosed full-beam cabin on the main deck, the GTO seamlessly merges the deckhouse and cockpit, creating a single expanded space.
While the choice between the GTO and GTC versions is driven by the owner’s preferred lifestyle, both models share exceptional performance characteristics and an unparalleled driving experience. The helm area is equipped with a state-of-the-art array of controls and displays arranged in a simple and accessible layout. From the pilot’s seat located in front of the flush right wheel, the throttle and joystick are conveniently positioned beneath the side window, allowing for comfortable operation while standing or seated, all while maintaining exceptional visibility. The slim bezels of the three touchscreen displays give the appearance of a single widescreen unit, and while they offer control and monitoring of all onboard systems, two rows of buttons below provide added security and ease of use.
The design of the Saxdor 400 places significant emphasis on guest comfort. The glazing beneath the aft sunbathing area imparts a floating sensation to the cushions, and the space below serves as headroom for the midships double cabin. Natural light streams in from three sides with a clear view through the glass transom, creating an exceptionally open and airy atmosphere in a cabin often overlooked by designers. Surprisingly, a third cabin designed for children is available, expanding possibilities for weekend excursions.
At a boat show where first impressions often win hearts, the Saxdor 400 is a showstopper. Visitors will be captivated by the striking exterior design, the glass transom providing enhanced visibility into the yacht, and the fold-down port bulwark, transforming into a unique seafront balcony. Equipped with fully opening glass doors, the Saxdor 400 GTO offers an unmatched level of openness in its segment, making the deckhouse accessible from the side and above, thanks to the convertible section of the hardtop. The main deck is surrounded by enlarged windows, and the table, seating, and galley echo the minimalistic and modern design motif of the exterior, ensuring a comfortable and relaxed onboard experience.
For its entire range, Saxdor collaborates with industry-leading partners, and the new Saxdor 400 GTO is no exception. Navico Group supplies the onboard electronics, both above and below deck, featuring Simrad Yachting instrumentation, the Mastervolt energy system, C-Zone and BEP components, along with a Custom UI for power control.
