The World’s Most Breathtaking Parks: Instagram’s Top Picks

Here are the world’s most enchanting parks as per official rankings:

From New York to Seoul, and even in London, discover the most exquisite verdant havens around the globe, as indicated by Instagram statistics.

Green spaces are truly extraordinary, don’t you think? With their luxuriant foliage, vibrant blossoms, and tranquil ambiance, parks offer a refreshing respite from the urban hustle and bustle. Moreover, they contribute positively to our environment by absorbing carbon emissions and supplying us with fresher air. Isn’t it clear? Parks are truly remarkable.

Everyone has a preferred locale within these parks. However, from a statistical standpoint, which parks are the most aesthetically pleasing in the world? Well, Uswitch, a price comparison platform, has sifted through the data to provide an answer. By examining “hashtag data” (essentially, the number of times each park has been tagged on Instagram), the company has compiled a ranking of what they claim are the world’s most scenic green areas.

Predictably, the top spot was claimed by Central Park in New York. This expansive area amassed nearly eight million hashtags – over three times the number of its closest competitor. London’s Hyde Park secured a solid second place with 2.36 million tags, while Seoul’s Hangang Park earned the third spot with approximately 750,000 tags.

Naturally, there are certain limitations when utilizing hashtags to gauge a park’s “picturesqueness.” This approach likely better reflects which parks are the most frequently visited rather than which are the most aesthetically pleasing. Additionally, it’s worth noting that people may tag parks in photos of things that are far from picturesque. Hyde Park’s abundance of pigeons is a case in point.

You can peruse the full study by Uswitch, but for now, here’s the top ten (along with the number of hashtags each location accumulated):

  1. Central Park, New York, 7,962,156
  2. Hyde Park, London, 2,363,707
  3. Hangang Park, Seoul, 749,856
  4. Griffith Park, Los Angeles, 493,093
  5. Golden Gate Park, San Francisco, 486,936
  6. Park Güell, Barcelona, 431,577
  7. Parque Ibirapuera, Sao Paulo, 371,104
  8. Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden, Tokyo, 351,842
  9. Parque del Retiro, Madrid, 324,262
  10. Bosque de Chapultepec, Mexico City, 317,756
