Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo, one of Monaco’s most iconic luxury hotels, has unveiled 45 newly renovated rooms and suites as part of its multi-phase renovation project. Designed by celebrated French architect and interior designer Jacques Garcia, the new accommodations blend the hotel’s rich heritage with contemporary Mediterranean elegance.
Located on the hotel’s second and third floors, the redesigned rooms and suites include Deluxe Premium Rooms, Prestige Rooms, Junior Suites, and Deluxe Suites. Garcia, who previously oversaw the hotel’s redesign in 2004, drew inspiration from the Mediterranean’s colors and textures, creating interiors that honor the past while offering modern comfort.
The second-floor rooms evoke serenity with soft blue tones and embroidered Colefax & Fowler fabrics, while the third-floor rooms radiate golden hues inspired by Riviera sunlight. Junior Suites feature bespoke Garcia-designed furniture – a dual-purpose dressing table and writing desk in Laurier green Tassin leather and white ash wood, complete with a discreet sliding television. Bathrooms are enhanced with freestanding Devon & Devon bathtubs, combining retro charm with contemporary luxury.
The Deluxe Suites offer a larger, apartment-style layout, complete with separate living areas, marble minibars, and custom lighting, perfect for longer stays. Every detail reflects the hotel’s dedication to quality and elegance.
Jacques Garcia remarks, “The Metropole is a unique place with a soul. Redesigning it required preserving its timeless character while enhancing the relaxed and refined Riviera spirit. Every room tells a story of travel, discovery, and welcome.”
General Manager Serge Ethuin adds, “This first phase of renovation celebrates the hotel’s heritage while preparing it for the future. Guests now enjoy a seamless combination of history, luxury, and modern comfort.”
The renovations are part of a larger phased plan that will extend throughout the hotel, ensuring all rooms and suites embody the same Mediterranean-inspired aesthetic. Earlier this year, the hotel also introduced the Spa Métropole by Guerlain, offering ten treatment rooms and exclusive rituals such as Golden Sand, Monaco Glow, and Puissance du Rocher.
Rates for the new rooms start at €1,250 per night, including breakfast. For bookings and more information, visit metropole.com
