As tensions escalate across the Middle East, speculation is mounting over whether Cristiano Ronaldo has left Saudi Arabia with his family aboard his private jet bound for Madrid.
The rumors emerged after reports from Iranian state media claimed that two drone strikes targeted the US Embassy in Riyadh during the night of March 2–3. The incidents, occurring amid a broader regional escalation, have heightened security concerns within the kingdom.
Ronaldo, who has been playing for Al-Nassr FC since January 2023, resides in Riyadh with his partner Georgina Rodríguez and their five children. His high-profile presence in the country has drawn global attention since his move to the Saudi Pro League.
According to flight-tracking data from Flightradar24, the Portuguese star’s private jet reportedly departed Riyadh on Monday, March 2, 2026, at around 8:00 p.m. local time and landed in Madrid at approximately 1:00 a.m. While the aircraft’s movement has been recorded, there has been no official confirmation that Ronaldo or his family were on board.
Madrid would be a familiar destination. The five-time Ballon d’Or winner still owns property in the Spanish capital, dating back to his highly successful tenure at Real Madrid, where he played from 2009 to 2018 and became the club’s all-time leading scorer.
At this stage, neither Ronaldo, his representatives, nor Al-Nassr have commented publicly on the reported flight. It remains unclear whether the jet’s journey was related to security concerns or simply a routine private trip.
In a climate of heightened geopolitical tension, even routine movements by global figures can quickly spark widespread speculation. Until official confirmation is provided, reports of Ronaldo’s alleged departure from Saudi Arabia remain unverified.
