Saudi Crown Prince Holds Talks with Malaysian Prime Minister in Riyadh
Riyadh, October 21, 2023 – His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, hosted the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Anwar Ibrahim, in a significant diplomatic meeting at the Royal Court in Al-Yamah Palace, Riyadh.
The visit of Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim to Saudi Arabia commenced with official reception ceremonies held in his honor at the Royal Court. Subsequently, HRH the Crown Prince engaged in formal discussions with Prime Minister Ibrahim.
The meeting was marked by warm and cordial exchanges, with HRH the Crown Prince extending a hearty welcome to the Malaysian Prime Minister to the Kingdom. In return, Prime Minister Ibrahim expressed his delight at the opportunity to visit Saudi Arabia and meet with HRH the Crown Prince.
The discussions between the two leaders encompassed a wide array of topics, including the multifaceted Saudi-Malaysian relations and the exploration of promising opportunities for cooperation across various sectors. Additionally, they delved into regional and international developments, with a focus on the associated efforts, and addressed several matters of shared interest.
The Saudi side participating in the discussion session featured notable figures such as Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, Minister of Energy; Prince Turki bin Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, Minister of the State and Member of the Cabinet; Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Sports; Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior; Prince Abdullah bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Minister of National Guard; and Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Defense.
Accompanying them were key officials, including the Minister of Commerce, Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi; the Minister of Investment, Eng. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih; and the Minister of Economy and Planning, Faisal bin Fadel Al-Ibrahim.
The Malaysian delegation, led by Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, included Dr. Zambry Abdul Kadir, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz, Minister of Investment, Trade, and Industry, alongside several senior officials.
