Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Welcomes Kuwaiti Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister
Dubai, September 13 – His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy President of the United Arab Emirates, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, received His Excellency Sheikh Ahmed Fahad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister of the sisterly State of Kuwait today, Wednesday. The meeting took place at Zabeel Palace in Dubai and was attended by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Deputy Ruler of Dubai.
His Highness extended a warm welcome to His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister of Kuwait, conveying his sincere regards to His Highness the Amir of Kuwait and best wishes for his continued health and well-being. His Highness also extended his wishes for further progress and prosperity to the State of Kuwait and its gracious people.
The meeting marked the beginning of discussions on the close fraternal relations between the two countries and the ongoing coordination and consultation on various levels. The leaders also explored ways to strengthen the historical ties that have long united the two brotherly peoples, all in line with the comprehensive development goals of both nations. This effort supports the joint Gulf work and bolsters the aspirations for future regional development, aiming to bring prosperity and security to the people while ensuring further progress and prosperity.
Furthermore, the meeting delved into a review of the most recent regional and international developments and various topics of mutual interest.
The meeting was attended by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai’s Supreme Fiscal Committee and Chairman and CEO of Emirates Group, along with several other dignitaries, ministers, and senior officials.
Earlier in the day, His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum welcomed His Excellency Sheikh Ahmed Fahad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah upon his arrival at Dubai International Airport. His Excellency Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, and His Excellency Matar Hamed Al Neyadi, Ambassador of the UAE to Kuwait, as well as His Excellency Jamal Al-Ghunaim, Kuwait’s Ambassador to the UAE, were also present at the reception.
