Vatel Bahrain Hosts Induction Day
Vatel College of Hospitality recently conducted an induction day for its new students for the academic year 2023-2024.
The CEO of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) commended Vatel for its exceptional educational services and its dedicated staff, which play a pivotal role in nurturing a promising generation of national talents within the tourism sector. These efforts, in turn, bolster the tourism sector by providing it with local expertise to further its growth.
Dr. Qaedi highlighted Vatel’s significant contributions to the development of Bahrain’s tourism, hospitality, and hotel industry. Furthermore, he noted that Vatel has been instrumental in supporting BTEA in achieving the objectives outlined in the 2022-2026 tourism strategy, which focuses on diversifying the tourism offerings and increasing the tourism sector’s contribution to the GDP.
He went on to emphasize that Vatel’s role extends to fulfilling the goals of the tourism strategy by attracting a broader international audience and introducing them to the authentic Bahraini hospitality, all made possible through the training of skilled Bahraini professionals.
Dr. Qaedi and the ambassador extended a warm welcome to the new students and wished them success in their upcoming academic year. They also applauded Vatel’s commitment to preserving authentic French traditions.
The ambassador took the opportunity to commend Bahrain’s progress, particularly in preparing students and graduates for the demands of the job market. He reaffirmed the vital role of the tourism sector in Bahrain’s strategic plans, expressing the embassy’s willingness to collaborate with Vatel by sharing knowledge and expertise.
Shaikh Khalid, too, wished the new students success and reassured them of the academic and administrative staff’s readiness to address any inquiries or challenges they may encounter.
