Genoa, Italy – Azimut has chosen the Genoa International Boat Show, taking place from September 21 to 26, 2023, for the Italian premiere of two remarkable yachts: the Magellano 60, a crossover designed for extensive cruises in close communion with nature, and the New Fly 72, which embodies sportiness and refinement.
In addition to these two new yachts, Azimut will present the new S7 at the Genoa International Boat Show, along with other models that showcase the brand’s extensive fleet.
Azimut New Fly 72 From September 21 to 26, 2023, Genoa will once again be the epicenter of Italian yachting as it hosts its 63rd Boat Show, a celebration of Made in Italy excellence and expertise. At this prestigious event, Azimut will introduce two new yachts to the Italian public.
The Italian premiere at the Genoa International Boat Show will feature the New Fly 72, boasting exterior design by Alberto Mancini and interiors envisioned by architect and designer Fabio Fantolino, making his debut in yacht design. Fantolino’s concept for the New Fly 72 aims to impart a contemporary and elegant appearance to this model.
The interior style spans from the exclusive atmosphere of the yachting world to the sophistication of contemporary design, merging two distinct worlds in the design of the New Fly 72. This design approach is also evident in the choice of materials and shapes, combining wood with precious elements like bronze and high-gloss lacquer, all complemented by both linear and soft shapes.
Alberto Mancini, responsible for the exterior design, has imbued the New Fly 72 with the sporty DNA that has been driving the evolution of Azimut yacht design. With the New Fly 72, Mancini’s stylistic expression introduces clean lines that emphasize the sculptural tension characterizing the Series’ design.
Azimut Magellano 60 The Genoa International Boat Show will also witness the Italian premiere of the Magellano 60. Designed by Ken Freivokh, known for his ability to seamlessly merge the worlds of sailing and motor yachts, the Magellano 60 is a crossover yacht perfect for owners who cherish extended cruises.
It boasts spacious onboard areas that do not compromise the yacht’s elegant lines. The Main Deck seamlessly flows into the cockpit, transforming the stern area into a terrace with a transparent parapet, creating an Infinity Terrace that immerses passengers in the sea and nature.
The Magellano 60’s crossover identity is further evident in its highly efficient Dual Mode semi-planing hull, which allows for comfortable cruising at low speeds while also handling higher speeds by minimizing wave impact and optimizing fuel consumption and emissions.
Azimut has chosen the Magellano 60 as the model for the first voyages powered by HVOlution, a biofuel produced by Eni Sustainable Mobility using 100% renewable raw materials. The results of Azimut’s summer 2023 trials with this biofuel were highly satisfactory, reducing well-to-wake CO2 emissions by over 80% compared to a similarly sized yacht powered by fossil fuel.
In addition to these new yachts, Azimut will showcase other models from the Fly, Atlantis, and Magellano series at the Genoa International Boat Show.
