His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, today witnessed the signing of a landmark agreement to develop and operate the first phase of the Al Rawdah Special Economic Zone, located in the Wilayat of Mahadha, in the Al Buraimi Governorate of the Sultanate of Oman.
The signing took place during the visit of a high-level UAE delegation to Oman, led by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed. The agreement reflects the deepening strategic and economic ties between the United Arab Emirates and Oman and is a key step in enhancing bilateral cooperation in trade, infrastructure, and investment.
The Al Rawdah Special Economic Zone is expected to play a vital role in regional development, attracting foreign and domestic investment, boosting economic diversification, and creating job opportunities. The first phase of the project will focus on establishing the necessary infrastructure to support industrial, logistical, and commercial activities.
