Emirati ECSSR Vice Chairman Visits Derasat Center
Manama, Oct. 24 : Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Bahrain Centre for Strategic, International, and Energy Studies (Derasat), welcomed Professor Jamal Sanad Al Suwaidi, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research (ECSSR).
During the visit, Professor Al Suwaidi introduced his latest publication, “His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan: Highlights in the Journey of a Visionary Leader,” which delves into the remarkable journey of HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates.
Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed commended Professor Al Suwaidi’s dedicated efforts in producing this outstanding book, emphasizing that it goes beyond being a mere documentation. Instead, the book serves as a message and platform to inform current and future generations across the globe about the profound contributions of this extraordinary personality to the realms of progress, peace, tolerance, development, and well-being for humanity.
He stressed that the upcoming book launch in Bahrain, following its inauguration in the UAE, underlines the deep-rooted relations between the two countries. These relations are built upon a solid foundation laid by previous generations, reflecting the care of leadership from both nations and setting an example for cooperation.
Derasat Chairman praised the research contributions of the ECSSR, highlighting their alignment with international developments in scientific and strategic research. He also emphasized the significance of the Centre’s high-quality publications and dialogues with prominent intellectuals, thinkers, and researchers as essential elements in promoting global stability and peace.
Professor Al Suwaidi expressed his pride in the active role and valuable contributions of the Derasat Center, describing it as one of the leading think tanks in the Arabian Gulf and Arab region. Derasat has played a pivotal role in providing a better understanding and more accurate analysis of various regional and international issues and developments.
He also acknowledged the important position held by Derasat Center in adopting the finest scientific research practices as a means to meet the requirements of contemporary life and contribute to societal progress in various fields.
